Many thanks to Chris, Jeff and others who have given members a good insight
into historical and current "kiting" and "domain tasting" practices.
 
With the added benefit of hindsight, it is all too easy to point the finger
at ICANN and errant Registrars etc. and to ask moot questions.  However,
this really is not of any benefit to anyone in moving this very important
topic forward. 
 
I would, therefore, ask members who are contributing to this thread to
concentrate on formulating concrete ideas and proposals that can be put to
ICANN etc., perhaps as a GA consensus, in order to assist in the policy
development process or to comment on those that have already been proposed.
 
No more stick waving please :-)
