honestly, I am happy that such a wishy-washy approach was not adopted
and approved. If it was there would be no chance to change it any
longer. At least for a longer period.

For what it's worth, last year the ALAC sent through a comment to the
public forum on the 2007 Budget (it was the only comment received) that
recommended the application of part or all of the registrar-level
transaction fee to domains deleted during the AGP.

There is nothing, however, to indicate that the board ever read,
discussed, or considered this advice from the ALAC... there was
certainly no board-to-ALAC discussion of this recommendation.
