  I worked on the development of DNS with Paul Mocipeturis
and others.  So I know what it was designed for.  And frankly,
it wasn't designed strictly to answer questions but also to provide
for a naming method for IP addressing.

  But your right it is pretty important to get good queries.  Yet
wildcarded TLD's are not necessarly non-authoritative as you seem
to imply in your remarks/response.  However some MAY be.  So to clump
all wildcarded domain names or TLD's in the catagory of non-authoritative
is technically incorrect as well as intentionally misleading.

  However I can appriciate your and Ted's possition...
