Well,
(1) Cesidio Tallini and me prooved it working for the Cesidian Root.
We communicated using a windos client (thunderbird) and a windows
mailer on one site and a windows server site and a linux client
(again thunderbird) and a linux server (exim 4.0). Later we could see
other clients and the MAC OS-X operating system as well.
(2) IDN is translated into punycode. Punycode is plain ASCII.
So I dont expect any problems but we have not tested.
Maybe Joe can tell us more.
Kind regards
Peter and Karin

Ted raises an interesting point regarding usability.
My questions for the experts among us:
(1) Will e-mail work between an IDN domain and an
ASCII domain?
(2) If the current WHOIS system only accomodates
ASCII, will the WHOIS properly function in an IDN
environment?
