For the record, not all IDN's have to have non-ASCII characters in the TLD field to be "internationalised".

Is müller.de not an IDN? What more needs to be done to it?

I stand by my remarks.

Andy,
For the record, I am another one of those idiots who think that a domain
name is not internationalized if only one part of it is.

Yes I know that.

Show me what part of the press release mentions anything
about TLD's rather than IDN in general?

The way it's worded, to everyone who's known about IDN's for
years, it makes Dr. Twomey look like an idiot.

Intentional?

They should correct it and post an update, that technically
incorrect quote is appearing all over the place.

Andy,

IDN names at the second-level have been around for quite awhile but
not at the top-level. The focus now is introducing them at
the top-
level so that it is possible to have an IDN.IDN name instead of an
IDN.ASCII name.

When they arrive?

Haven't IDN's been available since 2001?

Who at ICANN is responsible for fact checking these press releases?
