Thanks, Paul. With regards to your question concerning GNSO Supermajority, this
is a defined term in the ICANN Bylaws: ‘A "GNSO Supermajority" shall mean: (a)
two-thirds (2/3) of the Council members of each House, or (b) three-fourths
(3/4) of one House and a majority of the other House."
Best regards,
Marika

Thanks Marika.
We are very close. I attach a slightly revised version making reference to
GNSO Operating Procedures (which was the substance of Avri’s prior friendly
amendment), and asking a question about the supermajority vote (this one is
just based on my own ignorance – I’m not questioning/advocating an “if”, just
the “how” of how it works).
With these tweaks, I think the motion is ready. Thanks!!
Best,
Paul

Subject: [council] For your review - revised motion re. DT to implement the
GNSO's new roles and obligations
Dear All,
Following our discussion today, please find attached a revised version of the
motion to create a DT to further develop recommendations to implement the
GNSO’s new roles and obligations under the revised ICANN Bylaws which aims to
capture the agreed approach with regards to the drafting team and subsequent
approval. You will find attached a redline and a clean version (note, for some
reason I am not able to get rid of the blue color in the redline document so it
may be easier to review the clean version).
Paul, please confirm whether this meets your expectations and as such would
stand as the latest version of the motion. Of course, other comments are
welcome, as well as a second for the motion.
Thanks,
Marika
