AW: [council] Action items from Prague

That was my thinking as well. Sat afternoon discussion could also be inspiring
to the following council dinner...

Best regards

9 am Saturday people may not feel particularly inspired. wouldn't it be better
at the end of the day, when we have our accumulated frustrations (oh sorry,
insights) to share?

Thanks for clarifying Bill.

I would be in favour of the Saturday sessions in Canada starting with 60
minutes of "free speech". Yes, this does take 60 minutes away from something
else, but we generally do not start until 10am on the Saturday to accommodate
any late arrivals, so we could also simply move our start time up.

Wolf, as meeting planner for Toronto, could you please plan for an open
conversation first thing Saturday to start us off?

Hi Stéphane

Sorry to confuse with my pidgin English, typing fast. My "would benefit ICANN
generally, not just GNSO, although this would probably require reinstating at
least Friday morning " was meant to convey that doing something ICANN-wide, and
not just in the GNSO, would probably require reinstating at least Friday
morning.

That said, Jeff is of course right that if we slip in some free form dialogue
at the front end then we'd have to economize on time elsewhere, and Wendy is
right that slimming or skipping the reports could be a way of doing that,
although perhaps that wouldn't be a universal preference...

Thanks Bill. I don't understand why you suggest that Fridays would need to be
reinstated for us to be able to start our work weekend with an informal
discussion session.

Could you please elaborate?

Wrap-up and brain storming discussion
Do we want to start the ICANN meeting week with a similar, open ended
discussion, as the one we have during the wrap-up on Thursday?

As mentioned I think the insertion of some Barcamp/unconference-like time into
the agenda would benefit ICANN generally, not just GNSO, although this would
probably require reinstating at least Friday morning to allow the regular
meetings to get done. In the meanwhile though, yes starting the Council's week
this way would be refreshing.
