<P>Just to clarify for the record and repeat what I said on the council call. the
'pragmatic steps' proposal submitted by Marilyn Cade to the TF suggested moving all access to
WHOIS to web based, with security measures; eliminating Port 43; using stronger contracts,
enforced by ICANN for bulk access, and having ICANN undertake, and fund a study to inform
policy making, not just now, but on a continual and ocassional basis. </P>

<P>Jordyn's summary was great, but the 'move to web access/with security' got missed.
