Are they trying to become writers for Comedy Central? The document (does it have enough content to warrant the name "document"?) starts with a small bang - that the ALAC is so emasculated that it can't draw any interest - and ends with a noise that would have to be pumped-up with hyperbole-genes just to be a vacuous wimper.

The answer is to scrap the ALAC 100%, every nut, every bolt, and every ICANN staffer, consultant, and "attorney" (licensed or not) that has ever touched it.

And what to replace the ALAC? Why simply that which we were promised in the first place - elections for a majority of seats on the ICANN board of Directors.

(Given that all of the "stakeholders" are also individual internet users, they too could get a vote in this system, thus there is a good argument to give the public the vote for 100% of the ICANN board seats.)
