The Intellectual Property Constituency has announced
the election of Ute Decker to the GNSO Council. As we
might as well get to know each other better, below is
his biography:

Joined IFPI as a Legal Adviser in September 1999
Responsible for Copyright and related matters with
special emphasis on the development of legislation and
international agreements.
Focus on questions resulting from the use of music on
the Internet and the implementation of the 1996
WIPTreaties.
Represents IFPI in the Council of Europe and the
WIPStanding Committees on Trademarks (SCT) and on
Copyright and Related Rights (SCCT)
Previous Position:
Senior Researcher and Lecturer with Prof. Dr. Thomas
Hoeren in Muenster at the Institute for Information,
Telecommunications and Media Law (1996-1999)
Education and Training:
Legal Studies and practical training in Germany
(Mainz, Munich), and London
