EnCirca have argued that the flood of .pro domains they have sponsored this month have all had their membership of professional associations and credentials checked and verified.

Take, for example, Victoria Proffer:

who registered voice.pro on 18th March (AFTER ICANN had expressed concern to EnCirca about these registrations) and who is now (3 days later) selling voice.pro for $50,000 on Ebay!!!

EnCirca have to be kidding us, don't they? What certification has taken place, and where are the digital certificates, and why has RegistryPro (who seem to be turning .pro into a regular gTLD) activated registrations like these?

Is this what ICANN created .Pro for?

Yrs,

Richard Henderson
