Re: [registrars] Discussion of Motion to adopt Tasting Position Statement [Tim Ruiz's motion].

No, not at all tim. I'm just sort of finding all of the procedural wrangling sort of mystifying. I think your motion is fine and we should proceed with it. We shouldn't let our bylaws become the issue when we have important policy questions like this one in front of us. Thanks for pushing this uphill for us.

Ross,

Sorry if I made you or anyone else uncomfortable about this. See my note
to Paul G. Hopefully that better explains why I made the motion.

I am equally uncomfortable

I'm pretty uncomfortable with the fact that we're not even close to
getting the Council a statement concerning the preferences of
registrars related to the tasting issue.

I'm pretty uncomfortable with the fact that its pretty likely that all
of this parliamentary back and forth is totally confusing to most of
our members and therefore likely to alienate someone not entirely
familiar with our processes.

I'm pretty uncomfortable with the fact that it continues to be the
case that it takes us way to long to make really simple decisions.

Can we just cut to the chase and find someone to help us write this
document? Are there any volunteers? Jothan - is this work that you can
help us with? Jeff? Anyone?
