>NetSol controls ICANN Accredited Registrars.

(There is no truth to the rumor that Domain Name Sales Corp. is buying
Netsol.)

By way of comparison, the current fee structure of the BC is:

---
Category 1  	Companies (which are not micro enterprises);
Associations spanning more than one ICANN region Euro 1500

Category 2 Associations spanning one ICANN region Euro 1000

Category 3 Micro enterprises defined as companies which can demonstrate
both less than 10 employees
and a turnover of less than Euro 0.5 million Euro 250

Historically, what discouraged new members was the lack of a stable and
defined process for (a) accepting the payment, (b) getting them onto the
relevant lists.

At present, upon receiving notification of a registrar desiring to join,
accepting and crediting the payment and getting them onto the lists can be
done in a couple of minutes.
