Dear Jim: I'm clearing out the string of "CC:" address
which have been accumulating on this thread:

<Cmitchell@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>,
bhavin.t@xxxxxxxxxxx,
"'Nevett, Jonathon'" <jnevett@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>,

kurt.pritz@xxxxxxxxx,
"'Tim Cole'" <tim.cole@xxxxxxxxx>,
"'John Jeffrey'" <john.jeffrey@xxxxxxxxx>

No need for all of them to receive two copies. There is two
exceptions, Kurt and John at ICANN, who are not on the RC list.

I have not been "lurking" in the background. I just
didn't think that I am possessed with enough legal knowledge to make a
definitive statement. Certainly others with far better background
have expressed their reasoned opinions.

We have not been "bugged" by Verisign in any way. Had I
been pressured, I'd probably still go along with our Chair, Jon.

Jim, I can understand your concern. I hope things work out for
you.

Seriously, wishing you a Happy New Year, the year of the Boar in much of
Asia.

Personal regards, BobC

We really can't afford to have
Verisign turn us off, so since there has been no word from ICANN or
Verisign on this we'll probably sign it and put it into FedEx
today. Then we have time to deal with the other legal issues later.
