Re: [registrars] Domain renewal spamming

We receive complaints from confused angry customers almost daily regarding this. Has anyone heard about how they send out an email asking to visit a link to confirm the customer's correct email address? The link is actually a transfer confirmation. We are
seriously considering corrective action on behalf of our customers.

I find it hard to believe a Registrar is not aware of this type of deceptive use of their DNR
Reseller facilities.

There is more to this story. As you can imagine,
because of the similar name,
we get a fair amount of calls from people that
want their $85 or $25 refunded for a transfer that
doesn't go through. It seems that they immediately charge
a credit card upon placing the order and only refund
money if specifically asked and after a waiting period. At
least this is what I am told by their "customers".
