Ross - it would be helpful for us to hear what types of verification tools others on the task force have mentioned. We could react to this list and add others as appropriate.

Subject: [registrars] Request for Information

Whois Task Force 3 is looking to get a better sense of what registrars
currently do to verify the accuracy of the information in their whois
databases. As the registrar rep, I have been requested to pass this
request onto the constituency and compile the responses. I would
appreciate hearing from as many members as possible no later than 5:00pm
EST January 16, 2004.

Please send me your comments offlist. I will compile and summarize the
responses and forward them to the constituency when I file them with our
Task Force chair.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!
