I had also been asked by ICANN to participate in the group. I believe they are asking informally, from folks who had been participating in the various groups.

I called Tina after my message yesterday afternoon. My name has been put
forward as a representative of the Transfers Task Force and I've
accepted ICANN's invitation. My understanding is that the
constituencies, the TTF and the ALAC have been contacted to provide one
or two representatives to the TAG. I am not sure which constituencies
have put names forward (nor did I ask). If our constituency has not yet
done so, I would urge us to do so quickly. Elections, under our new
bylaws, require a definite period of time to complete.
If required, I second the self-nominations of both Paul Westley and Paul
Stahura and support their wish to stand for the position(s)...
[Forgive me if any of this is repetitive, but I have been less than
attentive to GNSO matters this summer.]
