Ross,
Listed below is a response from Tina Dam, the Chief Registry Liaison
regarding the Transfer Assistance Group. I take this quick response to show
that ICANN is heading in the right direction to be more responsive to its
contracting parties. Tina provides contact information for those interested
in participating.
Ross, I hope that you have been contacted based upon the tremendous
leadership that you have provided to the constituency in this area. Paul you
also have been a constructive voice as well and I would encourage you to
inquire about potential participation.
Best regards,
Michael D. Palage

Subject: RE: [registrars] Marina del Rey Registrar Meeting - September
12
We did not mis-name the group. It is called Transfer Assistance Group - and
have had that name at least ever since I started working with it.
Something have happened. We have received names on people who the four
groups of registrar/registry constituency, Transfer Task Force, and ALAC,
would like to be part of this group. The first meeting of this group (once
fully formed) is expected to take place end August (yes, this was postponed
from early August due Board meetings etc) - and the second meeting will be
scheduled for September 11, in the Marina in connection with the
registrar/registry constituency meeting.
I would like to wait on specifying the details of the people pointed out by
the groups mentioned above as some of these have not been contacted yet nor
100% accepted the invitation to assist on this matter. But there is
certainly no secretes about the forming of the group nor the work in
progress internally at ICANN.
If anyone should have any questions about the Transfer initiative, they are
more than welcome to call or send an email to either me or Dan. Otherwise
invitations will be send out ASAP and the work on the 29 transfer
recommendations will be implemented in registrar/registry contracts etc as
appropriate and as soon as possible.
