hi all,

it is an honor to be able to represent you on the Council.  i am replacing Wolf-Ulrich, and thus have big shoes to fill.  i aspire to his wisdom and effectiveness although that is a big leap for me.  let me be the first to thank him for his efforts.  i'm sure that his good deeds will not go unpunished.  :-)

let me also join in thanking Tony for taking on another term as our Chair.  his job just got a little harder, now that that he's got a less-experienced more erratic junior Council member to chivvy along.
