Re: [ga] Leasing out ICANN Accreditations

Andy and all,

I personally never trusted ICANN's "Accreditation" policy
and likely never will. But of course your point is well made.
Microsoft years before ICANN even existed proved self
Accreditation is a very slippery slope. Why the than ICANN
Bod and DOC/NTIA did not learn from that well known
MS lesson, remains a mystery to me.

From where I sit, as well as most of our members sit as well,
the RegistryFly disaster is ICANN's Accreditation Hiroshima.
It is also a stain on DOC/NTIA, and will be remembered as
such for years to come.

I further suspect that the RegistryFly disaster has yet to
be fully realized in terms of ecommerce damage, reputational
damage to ICANN, DOC/NTIA, and to American economic
standing all over the globe.
