Joop and all,

Now this may be a good idea, if the price is right. Also such a
lifetime registration/domain name should be transferable to ones
heirs for their lifetime as well. However restricting such to only
one Domain name doesn't seem reasonable. There should be
no restriction to the number of Domain names which would
be lifetime domain names, as such would be and arbitrary
restriction.

However what your suggesting here Joop has already been
discussed back in 2000 - 2001, and was rejected by Mike
Roberts and the than ICANN Bod, as doing so would confer
defacto ownership of a Domain name. Domain names can
be Trade Marked, not owned.
