Re: [ga] just my quick input
And Simon, you, me, and others like us are who ICANN is supposed to represent, listen to, and respond to. The BoD forgot this a long while back. A few of us here are trying to force them to remember that ICANN was a good idea in it's inception, but has been corrupted by a few elitists that believe they know better what people need and want than the people themselves do. To Veni: Bottom up consensus is not a philosophical concept, Veni. It is a mandate from the MoU and one of ICANN's founding principles. Amazing to me all those long hours you say you spent on ICANN matters and you still think bottom up consensus in regards to ICANN is just a matter of philosophy and not something you should have been pursuing as a member of the board. Like George Bush, or King George as some call him, who believes, truly believes, he is entitled to ignore existing laws and do everything hios own way, you and other board members have followed his example and ignored all the guidelines, agreements, and principles ICANN was formed under. You of course will have a different opinion, Veni, and of course your opinion will matter much much more than the other millions of users. You are a legend in your own mind. I'm considered savvy in computer/internet matters, by my friends and family, but I have no chance in deciding anything here, and they have even less.
