[ga] Verisign has broken IDN?

Two rumours I have heard:

1: Verisign's IDN plugin for IE6 breaks IDN support in IE7. Has to be manually disabled. If a user upgrades from IE6 to IE7, all IDN's stop working.

2: China has blocked access to verisign-grs.com. It appears that Verisign's plugin needs to access idn.verisign-grs.com to actually work properly (not sure why) but this has effectively killed off all IDN based websites for people in China using ie6 - even IDN websites hosted within China.

Comments anyone?
