Dear All,

I just received the following email suggesting that
things may be amiss at the .mobi registry.  As I lack
the time over the next few days to further investigate
this matter, perhaps some of you may be willing to
assist...

    My recent research to get a .mobi domain name i
found the strange coincidence

All these names were reserved on 1 August 2006

Registry Reserved Names:

edwards.mobi [CEO]
grey.mobi [CFO]
raad.mobi [VP]
farren.mobi [Director]
flood.mobi [Business Development]
peterson.mobi [Executive Assistant]
cremin.mobi [Director]
greer.mobi [Compliance Director]
thun.mobi [Manager]
lee.mobi [Finance Manager]

champagne.mobi [Board Member]

None of these names are allowed to be registered,
according to the ICANN .mobi contract public on ICANN
web site.

dotmobi has given its registrar friend Godaddy
registrar a nice favour by allowing them to register
parsons .mobi with a trademark date beyond the July
2005 deadline.

I only got time to research some of these reserved
names, many of them are already legal trademarks by
many american companies [edwards, flood, lee].

I put this on Circleid, bu t maybe they are also
friends of dotmobi so i am sending to you for
research.  If dotmobi is favouring its friends and
family this is unfair and maybe it is not legall?
