  ALAC is a fine group. Made up of fine individuals that work fairly hard at ALAC endeavors. The are Global in their reach and Multinational in their makeup. They are constantly reviewing their actions and adapting appropriately.
  With that said we must look to the scorpion. A scorpion might be the finest most beautiful scorpion that ever lived, but you don't take it to bed, because it will always remain a scorpion and they are deadly and it will hurt you.
  ALAC is a fine ALAC but it does not represent individuals, it represents interest groups that can argue they are not represented elswhere. The interest groups are good. But they are not individuals. (make no doubt ISOC groups are interest groups)
  So ALAC is just what they are, and if you are an individual or interested in individual rights, I strongly suggest you do not take ALAC to bed.

I find Mr.Ricciardi's response remarks to be very questionable as to
the level of actual individual representation in the ALAC. As the
ISOC did away with individual membership some time ago now,
such claims regarding the ALAC representing individuals as it
also has not individual membership, is more than a little bit
dishonest. Groups that have no individual members in turn
members of the ALAC or the ISOC cannot claim representation
of individuals in any legitimate manner.
