[ga] Go Daddy Usurps Network Solutions

All former DNSO GA members or other interested sakeholders/users,

  Go Daddy has passed Network Solutions as the top domain registrar,
and now manages more than 6.8 million domains.  This marks the first
time
that any registrar other than Network Solutions has held the top spot.
The
change is no surprise, given the growth trends and pricing for the two
providers ($8.95 for Go Daddy, $34.99 for Network Solutions), but its
controversial Super Bowl ads no doubt helped put Go Daddy over the
top.

  It may be a wise business decision for NSOL to do some short
term price cutting to say about $4.99 and see how long go daddy
can take a price war.. This would be good for NSOL, Go Daddy,
and especially consumers/stakeholders...  Besides I luv a good
price cutting war.  And NSOL could couple their price cutting with
some even slightly more naughty advertising than Go Daddy's...
