So this gal was born this day. And ripped from her mother by a US GI. And covered and smotherd as the GI was head shot. Thank God she lived and the GI twenty years later made it back to Kansas, or at least part of his remains did.
She was born in Saigon, or just a little away above the tunnels of Cu Chi. She does well now and contributes to our tax base, church and clothing stores. I can carry her in one arm. And she is wide eyed and fell in love with a man that wrote her through the Internet. Yes she is my father and Mother in laws daughter. And we celebrate her birthday accross the Pacific and through the Internet today. Holy Cow I love her.
So this is off topic and horrible and deplorable? Well go bite yourself by a possum with rabies.
The Internet bridges time and gaps of space and sadness into intelligence and educated my oncologist to save me and means a shitload more than just names and numbers.
I cannot get you off your fatass butt on the couch and make you care. But I can make a record and record who was here and did not care.
On this day I celebrate a soldier somewhere who cared and saved a baby so that I may know her and celebrate her life. On this day I celebrate all the men and women who help to keep my internet free so that others can communicate and not suffer book burning or bigotry.
