Sotiris, Eric, and all former DNSO GA members or other interested
stakeholders/users,
I disagree with several of the remarks and connotations there unto
pertaining that Sotiris offered in response to Eric's very find and
good consonance question. It has been ask many times before
in many different ways as those of us stakeholders/users and or
IT professionals are all too aware of. And the question's answers
have been by in large less than direct, such as Sotiris's is below.
My answer is a simple yes, to Eric's second question.
As to his first, it is, and has been very clear sense 1999 that
the than interim ICANN BoD/staff and subsequent ICANN
BoD's/Staff's are keenly only interested in top-down management
of the internet, even though it is a public resource... Where
the average every day stakeholder/user, IT professional or not,
is only interested in bottom-up management of the Internet and
or ICANN's contracted responsibilities... So you are either on
one side of this dichotomy of ideology or the other. There is
no tangible and/or practical middle ground... It is clear, given
Sotiris's remarks below, where he stands...
