In response to ALAC's most recent request for proposed improvements for ALAC:

1. Insist on individual membership only, and make it a principle that all posts are filled by selection on the basis of one member - one vote. Then, and only then, will ALAC begin to gain some credibility in actually representing the interests of *individual* internet users.

2. Preface all notices to the ICANN Board or the public with this statement: "We condemn the expulsion of the elected representatives of the At Large from the ICANN Board and insist that individual internet users (by far the biggest constituency, numbering hundreds of millions) should have a significant representation on the ICANN Board. ALAC, in so far as it acts as an interface with the rest of ICANN, does not accept the marginalising of the At Large and the locking out of its representatives from their legitimate place in the Boardroom."

3. ICANN to negotiate with all Registries to introduce an invitation at the time of domain name registration to join the At Large as an individual member, so as to build up a substantial number of participants with a clear interest in the effective operation of the DNS; and at the same time to seek ways of inviting non-registrants, through a variety of interfaces.
