I have two names (goddess.info and geography.info) registered through GMO / Onomae and I have requested that they be transfered to Directi which I use as a registrar for other domain names. Directi tell me that they have contacted GMO to request the transfer, but I have heard nothing from GMO and I need to hear so I know that this is going ahead and so I can confirm my wish for the transfer to proceed. GMO, please could you contact me to confirm that this transfer will happen and to make sure it does. Thank you. I never received any e-mail when the original registration occurred so I cannot give details of my User ID. However you can confirm from Afilias's WHOIS that the names are registered in my name at the e-mail address I'm using here.
This mail copied to the ICANN general list to monitor how easy or difficult it is to transfer domains through registrars generally, and Global Media Online in particular. I will post all responses and report back on each step of the transfer process. Let's see how well ICANN's transfer policy works...
