People seem to be assuming that the .NET and .COM migrations will happen like .ORG.

A safer (more stable?) approach is to **first** migrate 0:1 .NET...one name at a time...
...there are less 0:1 .NET names and the 0:1 .NET owners generally have more clue...

..."fingerprinting" is an important part of that migration...

The new Dynamic DNS software places a "fingerprint" in each IP header.
That is used to help verify the intention to "migrate".
