All former DNSO GA members or other interested stakeholders/users,
Well I figured this would happen. So it seems the
stability argument from ICANN was more likely a political
struggle with Verisign rather than a stability issue.
Thank god our BindPlus is still stable as well as
verisigns own BindPlus...
And so the saga continues....

An anonymous reader writes "After [0] .COM and .NET started using a
wildcard, the internet community busily started creating patches to
various pieces of software to circumvent this. It was [1] said
that this was a grave problem to the internet. Several
[2]official BIND patches were [3] announced over the next
few days. However, it turns out they weren't necessarily
too well thought through. Usage of the patch
unexpectedly [4] broke at least 7 Top Level Domains,
ISC announced 3 weeks later, after users [5] started
having problems. The [6].NAME registry has sent
[7]a formal letter to ICANN's [8]Security and
Stability Advisory Comittee to warn against using
the BIND patch, which they will look into in their
next meeting. The intention may have been good,
but... Stability? Anyone?"
