George,
The alexa ranking are for verisign.com, not the subdomain. You will see
that alexa groups all subdomains including www and sitefinder into one
listing. So that point is not very clear.

I feel that resolving anything-not-registered.net however is a very horrible
thing for the Internet Community in general. DNS needs to fail if there is
no
domain registered. Changing the way DNS works should not be a decided by one
company on its own. Consensus and ICANN approval should be required before
changing RFCs and the fundimental nature of how things operate. Worse yet
breaking something for the entire world so that an Ad company can pay
Verisign
some money for typos and mistakes.

Hello,

See their Alexa ranking at:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=&url=sitefinder.verisign
.com

They've not even turned it on for .com, yet, and they're a top 5000
site in Alexa?

And, take a look at the average number of page views per user: 3.0
today -- that means consumers are confused, and being sent to the paid
ads. Trademark lawyers, start your engines......

Fair and level playing field, to steal all that traffic at the registry
level, using their monopoly? How much does everyone else pay to acquire
their traffic?

Sincerely,

George Kirikos
