So, it looks like ICANN has now *restored* the page, but has yet to explain the
censorship. An investigation is warranted at this blatant attempt to undermine
free speech of critics.

Contrast this with Kent Crispin's statements on the topic:

http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/ga-200709/msg03235.html
http://www.webcitation.org/5yNnjJ1I5

"They undermine and demean the extremely valuable contributions of serious
longtime ICANN critics like Danny Younger,
George Kirikos, and others.

(Just for the record -- I really respect the contributions of these
critics, and sometimes I agree with them.  I believe that sentiment is shared
by many people on the ICANN staff.)"

Staff has got some explaining to do.

Hi folks,

As folks will know, last year there was a discussion on the GNSO GA mailing
list concern Rod Beckstrom's *public* TM application for "Bullshitters
Anonymous". See the February 15, 2010 posts at:

http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/ga-200709/mail15.html#03617

http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/ga-200709/msg03617.html

I recently registered the associated domain name, and redirected it to the
second link (the original post of the thread), which now returns "Page Not
Found". Someone has censored that page, removing it completely.

ICANN is a venue for *political* speech, which is the most protected form of
free speech.  On what basis can ICANN justify such censorship, when it is
critical for the public to understand the background of its executives?

Sincerely,

George Kirikos
