All my friends,

Unfortunately I happen to partly agree with Mr. Dempsey!
I also believe that given escalating cyber crime and errant
business behavior in some central sectors of the Internet
as it is today, much of the cyber crime could have been
avoided. But alas and sadly, either the Internet gets
cleaned up, or a more secure Internet will be necessary and
be created. The legacy Internet was and to a great degree
is too much based on trust and not trust but verify, and many
users as well as other stakeholders do not know how to do
the verifying and whom can verify what accurately and honestly.
ICANN's registries and registrars as well as the IETF, ITU,
internet software and hardware vendors bare allot if not most
of the responsibility for Mr. Dempsey's declaration.
