"To Be Or Not To Be" will always be a question. Obviously at this point we must
build.
I see now that the stability of the rules and process here will be essential
to being anything in the future.
Two months ago I would have said no way to being and outside org. But when
the restructure comes down I may have a completely different take. And we had
better keep our options open.
I thank Joe for keeping this in the forefront.

I think in order to remain as the "official" GA we need to come under the
auspices of ICANN. This will, in time, give us the necessary clout.
However, I see no problem in establishing a not-for-profit for the GA with
membership scheme/donations etc.
