At the GNSO call this morning, it was decided that on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 in KL, there will be a joint meeting of the GNSO Council and Task Force Members to discuss which concepts/recommendations of the current task force reports are worth pursuing further.  It is recommended that after the GNSO Council/Task Force Members joint meeting, the task forces meet separately to see if they can make progress in reaching consensus on various issues.  The scheduling of the individual task force meetings will be left up to those task force members in attendance to pick a mutually convenient time.  

The joint Task Force / Council Meeting will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (KL Time) on July 20, 2004.

Please reply to the list to indicate whether you or an alternate representative of your constituency will be present in KL for these meetings.

My understanding is that Kyoshi Tsuru, the IPC alternate on Task Force 3, will be present in KL.  Kyoshi is also on the GNSO Council.

It was also decided at this morning's call that the task forces do not need to post an updated report today or before the meeting as further work is required by all task forces on their respective reports.

If any of this changed after I got off the GNSO call, perhaps Ross or Ken can report any changes or additional information relevant to Task Force 3.
