Objet : [council] Motion on Locking of a Domain Name Subject to UDRP

Dear Councilors,

While reviewing my emails and notes in preparation for our Council Meeting on
Thursday, it appears the motion on Locking of a Domain Name subject to UDRP has
not been seconded. If I missed that email or action, please accept my
apologies. If the motion has not yet been seconded, I offer my second to this
motion now.

Again, I want to take this opportunity to reiterate the IPC’s support for this
motion and underscore that the IPC’s decision to oppose the motion was not
based on the merits of the final report; rather, “in the interest of
consistency and predictability” the IPC believed the GNSO Council rules needed
to be followed.

I look forward to the GNSO approving this Motion and thank the members the PDP
Working Group for its hard work on this important issue.
Thank you,
Brian
