Re: [council] May 14, 2013 ccNSO Council report
Thanks John,
this must have been really early – since today 1800 UTC did not yet reach
Europe...
Best regards

Subject: [council] May 14, 2013 ccNSO Council report
Good morning!
The latest meeting of the ccNSO Council took place today at 1800 UTC. The time
is important only in that it was 5 a.m. here in San Francisco! There were
three bits of note:
a.. A key item was discussion of the letter Jonathan sent at the end of April
asking for input to the cross community working group drafting team principles
approved by the GNSO Council a year ago. Despite what ccNSO Council Chair
Lesley Cowley noted was a lack of interest in a discussion of the matter at the
meeting in Prague, the Council voted to ask its secretariat to review the
principle and make some recommendations to the ccNSO Council at either its next
conference call on June 11, 2013 or as an agenda item at the Durban meeting.
a.. A comment of note came during discussion of a request by the ALAC to hold
a joint meeting with the ccNSO akin to the ccNSO Council/GNSO Council meeting.
ccNSO Chair Lesley Cowley said the GNSO meetings benefit from a "very efficient
organizing committee." This was agreed and there was a call for volunteers.
a.. Finally, I note that the ccNSO Council is making plans for a 10th
anniversary celebration.
Cheers,
Berard
