  • Thread-topic: Topics for the GNSO Council / Board Meeting

After receiving feedback from both the Council and the Board, below are the
suggested topics for discussion between the GNSO Council and the Board this
weekend in no particular order:

1. Council's view on the JAS Report (Board suggested Topic)

2. What qualities do you think we ought to be seeking in a new CEO? what
are your criteria for openness, transparency, etc. in the hiring process,
bearing in mind considerations of responsibility to candidates and community,
privacy, Board confidence, etc. (Jointly suggested Topic)

3. As we work to develop ethics guidelines, what are your top 3 concerns
and proposals to address them ( within the confines of the multistakeholder,
voluntary participation model)? (Jointly suggested Topic)

4. Update on WHOIS work and likely timeframes for any policy development
(Board suggested Topic)

5. Update on discussion to define consumer trust and what is within scope
for ICANN to improve. (Board suggested Topic)

6. Consequences of the New gTLDs program on the GNSO organization? (Board
Suggested Topic)

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
