RE: [council] Swap out Jordon for Singapore
Agreed. I am not sure what is meant by "lessons learned". Individuals,
Businesses and entities need to make informed decisions about whether to attend
meetings in-person and should be free of criticism and judgment by others for
those choices. The lesson I learned was that it is still possible to have a
constructive, fruitful ICANN meeting with remote participation for those who
choose for whatever reason to not attend in person.

I'm sure it's a difficult call, but I do like that ICANN Staff and Board
have started looking at this now. It is reasonable to make a call on it
sooner than later so other arrangements can be appropriately made and
allow attendees to make arrangements without the huge costs ususally
associated with last minute changes.

The latest rumours are that we’ll be heading to Singapore next folks
given the “unrest” in the Middle East.
