RE: [council] Motion to extend PPSC and OSC charters
Thanks, Liz.
I agree with Wendy that recent events show that the Council should now
review the work done before re-delegating (and yeah, I'm willing to work
on that review). I think also that Stephane's reminder about the
Standing Committee is timely, and it may be that we can convene that
Committee to work together with the Council to review the OSC and PPSC
work, at least initially.
With that in mind, my question is - will there be any problem (e.g.
legal/rule-based, technical, operational etc. etc.) if Wendy's motion is
amended so as to extend the PPSC charter solely for the purpose of, and
only for the duration of, completion of the PDP team's work?
Thanks,
Mary

Wendy and all,
I do want to point out that the OSC and PPSC are actually at very
different stages in their work. Many tasks that were the responsibility
of the OSC are completed or nearing completion. The PDP Work Team,
working under the auspices of the PPSC, has more work to do before
completing its primary "assignments".
Thanks, Liz

Wendy,
I am assuming this is a second motion and, if that is correct, it will
be treated as such.
