  • Thread-topic: 2009-2010 Registrar Stakeholder Group Membership

Dear Registrars,

The vote on our 2009-2010 Budget has completed and the new budget has been approved. With that bit of good news, I am writing to all of you to discuss your membership in the Registrars Stakeholder Group (RSG), formally known as the Registrars Constituency. For most of you the membership will be a renewal but for some it will be the first time you are able to join the RSG. I am happy to announce that we have been able to keep the cost the same as previous years, US$500 for an annual membership. The membership is for the fiscal year July 1, 2009 - June 30th 2010 (same as ICANN year), we are just a little late in collections.

As a member of the RSG, you have an opportunity to discuss and vote on the future of ICANN and your business, to actually have your voice heard. These discussions on new TLD's, the RAA and other topical matters happen at both ICANN meetings and on the Registrars Stakeholder Group mailing list, so you do not need to attend an ICANN meeting to participate, but you do need to be a paid member to be on the mailing lists.

For those that do attend ICANN meetings, only paid members will be able to participate in the closed door meetings of Registrars and have the ability to vote on RSG positions. Sorry, No exceptions.

And last but not least, please remember that the dues collected help to fund our Advocate, Admin, Meeting Expenses and other needs for the coming year.

Payments must be received by December 15, 2009 to become a member. For those that decide not to renew their memberships, please realize you will be removed from all RC mailing lists effective January 1, 2010.

If you are interested in membership for the period, please pay the invoice to be sent to you by our assistant Cristin Donahue, as well as returning the fill-in information requested. If you have not received an invoice by November 20th, 2009 or are interested in joining for the first time please contact Cristin directly at Cristin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:Cristin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

(Please check your spam mailbox for Cristin's email if you have not received your invoice and make sure to white list her address for future correspondence)

In addition this year we have made it as simple as possible to make a payment for your membership.

Payment made be made by one of the following methods Check, Wire and PayPal.

Please be sure to identify where the payment is coming from, i.e., IANA ID #, contact name, etc.

When sending payment, please send confirmation to Cristin Donahue, the RSG Assistant, at Cristin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:Cristin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, along with the filled-in portion of the invoice.

Thank you. If you have any questions related to your account, please feel free to contact to Cristin and she will follow up directly with you.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Eckhaus

Treasurer
