GNSO ISPCP REPRESENTATIVES - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
4 November 2003

ICANN's Generic Names Supporting Organization has been an important
part of the ICANN reform process.  In the work that has taken place
to evolve the old DNSO to its new structure, a new replacement for
the Names Council has emerged.

The ISPCP representatives to the old Names Council have had their
terms officially cease after the recent Carthage meeting.  Our
constituency needs to move quickly to have new representatives to the
new GNSO.

The affected members of the ISPCP are:

Tony Holmes (British Telecom)
Tony Harris (CABASE)
Greg Ruth (Verizon)

Each of these three individuals is eligible for a continued term as
Representatives to the GNSO Council.

Of the three representatives,
- one must be identified for a 2 year term
- two will serve a one year term (until end of annual meeting in 2004)

In accordance with our by-laws we are holding a public call 
for nominations.

The deadline for the constituency to nominate individuals to the 
GNSO Council representative position is 9 November 2003.

Every member of the ISPCP may nominate one candidate for each of 
the three available positions.  

This mail requests that you nominate eligible ISPCP members to be 
elected to be representatives of the ISPCP at the GNSO Council.

To make a nomination please mail the following information to the 
election manager:

 the name of the nominee
 the electronic mail address of the nominee
 the ISPCP member organization to which the nominee belongs
 if possible, a voice phone number for the nominee

During the nomination period, potential nominees will be asked to 
indicate their willingness to serve as ISPCP representatives to the 
GNSO.

The nomination period
 opens on 4 November 2003 at 2200 GMT
 closes on 9 November 2003 at 2200 GMT
