Kim and all,

  Indeed?  Well ICANN floated/promoted this one (kids.us),
as it's own documented history clearly shows.  
Unfortunately ICANN rejected the idea of a .kids and .web.
Not very enlightened decision making and/or leadership
on the part of ICANN.
  
So again we have a failure of leadership which has come back 
to haunt us or perhaps show a need for more adult intervention
by the US congress.  The ICANN leadership should be
ashamed as they now again have been shamed, all be it 
belated.
