It would seem that there must be some integrity on the list. Members who state something as fact which is false should be held accountable. The problem is in the enforcement. Anything could be cleared by public retraction. Mistakes and gray areas would probably be the norm. But blatant repeated claims, as truth, that which is clearly false should require sanctions.
   
  Personally I think their is room for pen names or pseudonyms as long as it is understood.
  Being a member of a Board or an voting member of an association would be a representation that must be true. While I have earned a Doctorate and am often referred to as Dr. I do not claim to be a physician. If I did did that that should be sanctionable. My email address is hughdierker, when in fact my full name is Eric Hugh Dierker (the first), not actionable.
  Technical expertise. If I claim to be an engineer and am not that would be actionable. 
   
  Proof may be required and I think that is a good thing.
   
  We have a right to expect our list to be reliable. To the outside it is imperative.
   
  Any suggestions on rule changes?
