I was having a look at some of the earlier applicant
proposals from the first TLD round and came across
this note within a reconsideration request:

"In its evaluation of proposed new TLDs, the ICANN
staff concluded:

?The SRI .geo proposal is an interesting and
innovative expansion of the functionality of DNS. The
technical, business, and legal details provided
suggest that the service can be successful, and might
revolutionize use of the Internet.""

I really think that before we move forward on any
"new" TLD applications, we should first deal with
those applications that are still in "pending" status.
