Oh, so the Pope died and made you ruler of what is appropriate? Dang, I guess I missed clause 13 paragraph four of his will. You are arcane. It would be good for you to smell some roses, (oops that might be construed as homophobia). Values are good. Lack of Values is bad.
What values do you hold true?

ps. referring to us mentally ill folks as "nuts" is off the charts wrong. We are emotionally and psychologically challenged. But what the hell most of the gals in my Mensa group like to refer (or is that reefer) to us as sic. ;-) And baby they may be "ugly" but they are hot.

Yours in hell and damnation and without belief or consecration? Is that more aPOPEriate?
Where do you get off saying speech is only right if it is immoral and castigating? Which Pope died and made you arbiter? Miss-use of a forum is your bombastic attack on virtue and commitment. You hate JW because he writes constant and with passion, you hate Richard because on a note of the longest living leader of the longest surviving city/state he speaks in his reverence.
One time this dude said if you do not stand for something you will fall for anything. You seem to stand for some Ivory tower critical of all that is not pc liberal notion of right yet you have yet to contribute one sliver of positive suggestion here. You criticise and excorcise anything of good and stand not for constitutional secular rights nor UN "God" given rights that my children die to uphold and sanctify. You would hate a Kurd, a Shiite, a Muslem, a Buddhist, a Jew, Christian a republican or a socialist - whatever it is you degrade it. Herr Hauptman you make Jack Maier sad he gave his life standing for principles only American German Immigrants could fight for in WWII, You make my uncle turn in his grave as the only American ACE in a B52 and you are a curse upon the remains of my Vietnam Vets only now returning home.
I think you must hail from Harvard for you speak ill of all that is not lilly white and you. Trot down the way to Yale or up to Dartmouth and broaden your illthought notions of propriety.

'Yours in Jesus Christ' on an ICANN list?

That is really a mis-use of this forum.

You really don't want me to send messages to this List mentioning the Pope's unbearable homophobia, illbegotten denial of a woman's Right to Choose, and other reactionary and rightwing beliefs now do you?

Those discussions are better left elsewhere.

Apostolic Letter from Pope John Paul II sent on 24th January 2005 "to those responsible for communications":
http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/john_paul_ii/apost_letters/documents/hf_jp-ii_apl_20050124_il-rapido-sviluppo_en.html

"I would like to recall our attention to the subject of media access, and of co-responsible participation in their administration. If the communications media are a good destined for all humanity, then ever-new means must be found ÃÂÃâÂÃâÅ including recourse to opportune legislative measures ÃÂÃâÂÃâÅ to make possible a true participation in their management by all. The culture of co-responsibility must be nurtured.

"Finally, there cannot be forgotten the great possibilities of mass media in promoting dialogue, becoming vehicles for reciprocal knowledge, of solidarity and of peace. They become a powerful resource for good if used to foster understanding between peoples; a destructive ÃÂÃâÂÃâweaponÃÂÃâÂàif used to foster injustice and conflicts....

"The great challenge of our time for believers and for all people of good will is that of maintaining truthful and free communication which will help consolidate integral progress in the world. Everyone should know how to foster an attentive discernment and constant vigilance, developing a healthy critical capacity regarding the persuasive force of the communications media.

"To those working in communication, especially to believers involved in this important field of society, I extend the invitation which, from the beginning of my ministry as Pastor of the Universal Church, I have wished to express to the entire world ÃÂÃâÂÃâDo not be afraid!"

"Do not be afraid of new technologies! These rank ÃÂÃâÂÃâamong the marvelous thingsÃÂÃâÂàÃÂÃâÂÃâÅ inter mirifica ÃÂÃâÂÃâÅ which God has placed at our disposal to discover, to use and to make known the truth, also the truth about our dignity and about our destiny as his children, heirs of his eternal kingdom.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

I don't ask members of the list to acknowledge the Pope's religious beliefs, or indeed to endorse any religious belief at all. However, I find these words worthy of reflection, particularly with reference to ICANN's mission:

The Media: "co-responsible participation in their administration".

"If the communications media are a good destined for all humanity, then ever-new means must be found ÃÂÃâÂÃâÅ including recourse to opportune legislative measures ÃÂÃâÂÃâÅ to make possible a true participation in their management by all. The culture of co-responsibility must be nurtured."

A true participation in the media's management *by all* ...

That sounds like the case for the At Large, and its restoration to the ICANN Board?

Yrs, in Jesus Christ, and with respect to other faiths, and those with none,

Richard H
