I told them that they are heading the wrong direction but none think so. (see http://james.seng.cc/archives/2004/12/04/icann_at-large.html)

I offered to help them to use tools to facilitate online discussion, no response.

I have given up trying to change the current committee members. Hence, I fully endorse this letter (Thanks Danny) and call for all the existing At-Large committee members to resign.

James et al.,

I noticed that the single comment posted to http://james.seng.cc/archives/2004/12/04/icann_at-large.html was from Izumi Aizu on December 15, 2004. In his comment, Izumi writes:

"In any event, we are trying to improve our situation and your comments and suggestions, or criticisms are all well taken, at least for myself. Please keep these going on, and let's hope to make ALAC much better within a few months, at the latest.
And I look forward for your help especially in the area of using the effective online tools."

Now, Izumi's comment was posted on December 15, 2004. It's been 11 weeks (roughly 3 months) since he made that post and judging by James' endorsement of Danny's call for resignation, it would appear that there has been little or no activity to "improve" the situation of the ALAC, nor 9ostensibly) have there been any moves to seek help from James "in the area of using the effective online tools".

Such oft-repeated unfulfilled statements have been the stock and trade of the now obviously defunct ALAC for far too long. The shell game is over.

By way of example, there has been little or no activity on the ALAC public forum aside from SPAM! see: http://forum.icann.org/alac-forum/ (one wonders why the SPAM has not been removed... for example there is the SPAM post from Dec. 24, 2004: http://forum.icann.org/alac-forum/msg00019.html ...is the SPAM still there because the ALAC public comment forum is not being monitored? Hmmm. I guess SPAM is considered a form of public comment, about as noteworthy (for the ALAC) as the few non-SPAM comments posted thereon.

Thank you, James, for stepping forward and endorsing the call for resignation.

It's now up to Vittorio and the rest to save face what little face is left to them and do the honourable thing.

Sincerely,

Sotiris Sotiropoulos
