Hi folks,

The following article might be of interest:

http://www.thedomains.com/2012/10/10/naf-panelist-cuts-pastes-in-another-udrp-decision/

as it documents how another UDRP panelist from NAF has been caught
copying/pasting. In a recent decision involving the eyecandydigitalsignage.com
domain name:

http://domains.adrforum.com/domains/decisions/1459667.htm

(archived at: http://www.webcitation.org/6BJKDPY7C in case NAF revises the
decision)

the panelist suddenly started writing about an entirely different domain name!

"Complainant alleges that Respondent must have had constructive and/or actual
notice of Complainant's rights in the MEDIACOM mark prior to registration of
the domain names."

That made no sense whatsoever, until one realizes the sentence was lifted from
an entirely different decision involving various MEDIACOM-related domain names:

John J. Upchurch, is one of NAF's most frequently appointed panelists, too, see:

This issue came up before, as discussed in articles at:

http://domainnamewire.com/2010/04/23/seriously-wooot-the-hell/

Of course, when confronted, ICANN did nothing. It's a fact that UDRP providers
continue to not be under contract with ICANN, so there is absolutely no
oversight or accountability.

Sincerely,

George Kirikos
